I Heart Faces ~ Black

I had to break this picture out again.  Visiting the pumpkin patch dressed in black...dying of the heat in October.  And it just shows how big My Monsters are getting...

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This was a tough one for me.  Probably because I started my morning entirely too early and since I had extra time, I started baking.  I didn't even think of taking any pictures until - well, it was time to clean the kitchen.  Anything to get out of KP duty!  :)

1.  Food
Cleaning the kitchen counters off, I had to move the fresh hot peppers from my co-workers garden.  Yum... can't wait to snack on them tonight!

2.  Purple
I never realized how little purple we have around.  I tried the garden, but we're moving into winter and don't tend to plant much in the way of fall plants.  Then I remembered my adorable niece E from the pumpkin patch...

3. In Disguise
My Monsters, with their true personalities showing through their disguises...

4.  Shape
I wouldn't say it's ONE shape per se, but I loved the shape(s) on this gourd.

5.  Photographer's Choice
Is it any wonder I call him one of My Monster's?  I took the hint and went away...

K's 5k Run

K ran another 5k today.  It was early.  It was cold.  Her brother and I froze.  But she had fun ... and finished with her best time yet :)

She placed second in her age group!

Wednesday ~ Black & White and Not So Worldless!

My "Special K" at cheer.  After warm up but before the game.  Just playing around ~ but I love this shot!

Here's a couple shots of My Monsters while they were trying to look like ... other kinds of monsters?!?

Blooper!

Great theme over at Simplicity this week!  I feel like I've found another home for what I thought was a "bad shot."  I love a challenge that lets me pull another shot out of the recycle bin...

K during tennis lessons last winter.  I keep telling her... you have to keep your eyes OPEN to hit the ball!
