The difference in slumber parties

So Chaos and Mayhem have turned 11. 

Last weekend, Matt (Mayhem) had his party.  It started with a trip to LazerQuest with 10 or so of his closest buddies.  Then 5 were invited to come home with him to stay the night.  The night included wrestling, tackling, pillow fights that brought blood and lots of sweat.

This weekend, it's Kat's (Chaos) turn.  It's all home activities... making beaded bracelets, having obstacle coarse races, movies, screaming, laughter, music and TONS OF TALKING!

Wow... I'm exhausted!

Mother's Day Flowers

My Dad sent me the most beautiful tulips for Mother's Day.  It's the first time he's done that ~ and it was the sweetest thing!  They really brightened my weekend.

Mother's Day on the GVRR!

Had a great day today.  We took my mom on the GVRR for the special Mother's Day train ride.  We've been in this area for 12 years now and this is the first time we've ridden the train.  I think we'll have to do it again ~ it was a blast!  Here's some pictures....

Macro Friday

This is a shot I took in March during spring break.  Hubby and my monsters were fishing so Buster and I wandered along the lake shore.  I took this shot of some petrified wood along the shore.  And let me tell you, getting this shot with Buster tugging on the leash was no easy feat!  :)

Going to bed now... we have another fun filled day of baseball AND football tomorrow.  *whew*
